Lessons
Bluefins runs a lessons programme in line with the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming, catering for children from beginner to pre-competition standard. Sessions run each day, providing 30 minute lessons leading to awards from Duckling 1-5 for under 5s to National Plan Stage 7. All lessons are run by ASA/UKCC qualified teachers.

The temperature in the pool today is acceptable, so lessons and training as normal. Please check the website on a daily basis because the situation may change daya by day.
Last lessons before the Xmas break are as follows:
Sat: 15th December
Sun: 16th December
Mon 17th December
Tue 18th December
Wed 19th December
Thur 20th December
Fri 21st December
Lessons will start back on 5th January. A letter is in the post giving next term's times and dates.

Important: Cranbourne Pool - latest update

Latest news is that Cranbourne is now unlikely to open next week. The parts have still not arrived, I have asked that the maintenance company be chased for a likely date and will communicate this as soon as possible.
A change to the system - parents will now be informed when lessons are ready to start back, not that they are not running - it's just not practical to spend hours every day texting to cancel!
We do apologise for the delay in restarting lessons, but please be assured that we are doing all we can. I would appreciate knowing if you have read this message: [email protected]
Monday and Wednesday Development parents should watch for further info from your coaches.

Sue Lambert was one of the small number of people from the world of sport to receive an award at The Basingstoke Voluntary Services "Celebration of Volunteering Awards" hosted by the Mayor of Basingstoke, Councillor David Leeks.
Holiday Swimming Lessons

Bluefins popular Holiday Lessons will take place at Cranbourne College from 13th to 17th August 2012 and are available for children from aged 4 years, beginners, improvers and competent swimmers.
Times: 1.30, 2, 2.30, 3, 3.30
Children come every day that week at the same time for the nominal fee of £8 for 5 days.
Booking is essential and can be done by email on [email protected]
When booking, please give child's name and date of birth, a preferred time and ability - Beginners swim in shallow water (0.9m), Improvers in the middle section (1.2m) and competent swimmers in deep water (1.8m)
Open to Bluefins members and to non members.

We have just heard from Cranbourne and it is all systems go for lessons and development squad swimming from today (Monday 27th February).

Payment for lessons missed at Cranbourne
Now that the problem at Cranbourne Pool is fixed, we are able to sort your Direct Debit payments for this year.
No payment will be taken on your Direct Debit in March; this will cover lessons missed in January and will apply to all children originally registered to swim at Cranbourne in January 09, including those who have now moved to QMC. Parents of children new to our programme in January will start to pay on their Direct Debits from April.
Assuming no more problems, we will now be able to offer at least 36 lessons during the year Sept 08 to July 09 (taking into account the reduction with one month less payment).
