Welcome to Basingstoke Bluefins
With more than 800 members Basingstoke Bluefins is the largest club in Hampshire. The club is ASA SWIM 21 accredited, adopting the best practices in swimming including
- A full programme of swimming lessons in line with the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming
- Long Term Athlete Development for competitive swimming.
The club's coaching team is lead by Head Coach, Graeme Thomas.
Basingstoke Bluefins is the proud winner of the Basingstoke Gazette Club of the Year award for 2012.
"Basingstoke Bluefins aims to promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities for the teaching and practise of swimming and other associated aquatic activities. The club aims to provide everyone within the Basingstoke area with an equal opportunity to learn to swim and to offer long-term swimming development for all levels of swimmers to maximise their potential."
Basingstoke Bluefins Swimming Club is a Registered Charity operating on a not-for-profit basis. The club is managed by a team of unpaid volunteers.

We have been informed that the pool at Cranbourne is not available today. Please check the website for updates on lessons later in the week.

More problems with chemical levels at Cranbourne Pool. Contractors were called in this morning and of course can't do much until after the weekend. It's possible that Monday's sessions will be cancelled too - please watch this space!

Due to incorrect chlorine levels and a lack of site staff, there will be no lessons at Cranbourne today. Hopefully the problem will be fixed once one of the site team comes on shift later today.
