Welcome to Basingstoke Bluefins
With more than 800 members Basingstoke Bluefins is the largest club in Hampshire. The club is ASA SWIM 21 accredited, adopting the best practices in swimming including
- A full programme of swimming lessons in line with the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming
- Long Term Athlete Development for competitive swimming.
The club's coaching team is lead by Head Coach, Graeme Thomas.
Basingstoke Bluefins is the proud winner of the Basingstoke Gazette Club of the Year award for 2006.
"Basingstoke Bluefins aims to promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities for the teaching and practise of swimming and other associated aquatic activities. The club aims to provide everyone within the Basingstoke area with an equal opportunity to learn to swim and to offer long-term swimming development for all levels of swimmers to maximise their potential."
Basingstoke Bluefins Swimming Club is a Registered Charity operating on a not-for-profit basis. The club is managed by a team of unpaid volunteers.
Holiday swimming lessons

Bluefins is running a course of lessons at Cranbourne School 10th - 14th August. Cost is just £7.50 for the whole week and places are open to members and non members, beginners and improvers - so why not come along and bring your friends!

More success at the South East Region Champs

More success for Bluefins at the second weekend of the Regional Championships at Crawley.
- GOLD medal for Oliver Waldram in the 800m freestyle, and silver in the 200m freestyle.
- Silver for Adam Milne in the 200m freestyle.
- Siobhan Harrison: 4th in the 1500m freestyle
- Samuel Taylor: 5th in the 1500m freestyle
- Hannah Parker: 6th in the 200m butterfly
The girls 11-13 400m medley relay team finished 6th.
In the overall Age 11 BAGCATs, Adam Milne came 4th and Oliver Waldram came seventh. Well done boys:

It has been a splendid weekend for the club at Crawley. You can see the full results by clicking on the link on the right.
- Adam Milne: GOLD in the 100m freestyle; SILVER in the 200m backstroke; BRONZE in the 200m Medley; BRONZE in the 400m freestyle; BRONZE in the 100m backstroke; 6th in the 400m Medley
- Elizabeth Neale; BRONZE in the 100m backstroke
- John Slater: 4th in the 100m freestyle
- Hannah Parker: 6th in the 100m butterfly
- Matthew Morgan: 4th in the 200m backstroke; 5th in the 100m butterfly
- 11-13 Girls Team: 6th in the 4x100m Medley Relay
- National Qualifying Times for Adam Milne and Hannah Parker (let me know if I have missed any).
- Despite being accounced as a National Qualifying Time, Christy Chui\'s 100m freestyle was an agonising .06 outside the time she needed.
- Lizzie Neale came close to getting her 100m backstroke time, but had already achieved the 200m time a week before.
