Welcome to Basingstoke Bluefins
With more than 800 members Basingstoke Bluefins is the largest club in Hampshire. The club is ASA SWIM 21 accredited, adopting the best practices in swimming including
- A full programme of swimming lessons in line with the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming
- Long Term Athlete Development for competitive swimming.
The club's coaching team is lead by Head Coach, Graeme Thomas.
Basingstoke Bluefins is the proud winner of the Basingstoke Gazette Club of the Year award for 2006.
"Basingstoke Bluefins aims to promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities for the teaching and practise of swimming and other associated aquatic activities. The club aims to provide everyone within the Basingstoke area with an equal opportunity to learn to swim and to offer long-term swimming development for all levels of swimmers to maximise their potential."
Basingstoke Bluefins Swimming Club is a Registered Charity operating on a not-for-profit basis. The club is managed by a team of unpaid volunteers.
Half Term Holiday Course

Our popular Half Term course of lessons takes place at Cranbourne School between 15th and 19th February 2010.
A bargain at £8 for the whole week

British Swimming Swim Suit Rules

From 1st January 2010 all competitions in England, Scotland and Wales will be applying the FINA rules in relation to Swimsuits for swimming, Masters and Open Water competitions.
Update: Following a FINA decision the new rules now include Masters and Open Water competitions.
Bluefins heading for the Premier League

With three wins in a row, Bluefins finish first in the Arena League Division 1 and get promotion to the Premier League for the first time in our history.
Meanwhile, the second team came an excellent third in their Division 2 gala in Bogor.
