Lessons
Bluefins runs a lessons programme in line with the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming, catering for children from beginner to pre-competition standard. Sessions run each day, providing 30 minute lessons leading to awards from Duckling 1-5 for under 5s to National Plan Stage 7. All lessons are run by ASA/UKCC qualified teachers.

Important: Cranbourne Lessons

There will be no lessons at Cranbourne on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September. There has been a fire which damaged the electrical system. As a result, the water temperature in the pool is too low.
We have been told that everything will be OK by Monday, but do check back on the website for confirmation.

Saturdays: 4th September to 11th December

Just a few places left on the holiday course at Cranbourne, mostly in middle and deep end groups.
A reminder to those who have booked - places will only be held when payment has been received. Cash or cheque (made payable to Basingstoke Bluefins) for £8 per child, must be sent to Sue Lambert, 79 Camrose Way, Basingstoke, RG21 3AW, to arrive before 9th August. Places will be offered to others if not paid for by the morning of 9th August.
Lesson fees from September 2010

Due to a rise in both pool hire and ASA Membership fees, it has been necessary to increase the cost of lessons at Cranbourne and QMC to £16 per month from Sept 10 - still very competitive with other lessons providers.
Individual letters, plus end of term reports and Newsletter have either been handed out at the pool or posted to home addresses. If yours doesn't arrive by the end of term - 23rd July - please contact Sue by email: sue.lambert@swimbluefins.org
Holiday Lessons 9th-13th August

Bluefins is once again offering a course of lessons at Cranbourne School Pool during the Summer break, between 9th and 13th August.
Children swim every day (half hour session, starting between 1.30 and 3.30pm) for just £8 for the whole week.
Width classes available for children aged 4+ at beginner, improver and advanced levels. Open to Bluefins members and non-members.

Payment for lessons missed at Cranbourne
Now that the problem at Cranbourne Pool is fixed, we are able to sort your Direct Debit payments for this year.
No payment will be taken on your Direct Debit in March; this will cover lessons missed in January and will apply to all children originally registered to swim at Cranbourne in January 09, including those who have now moved to QMC. Parents of children new to our programme in January will start to pay on their Direct Debits from April.
Assuming no more problems, we will now be able to offer at least 36 lessons during the year Sept 08 to July 09 (taking into account the reduction with one month less payment).
