Lessons
Bluefins runs a lessons programme in line with the A.S.A. National Plan for Teaching of Swimming, catering for children from beginner to pre-competition standard. Sessions run each day, providing 30 minute lessons leading to awards from Duckling 1-5 for under 5s to National Plan Level 9. All lessons are run by ASA. qualified teachers.
No lessons at Cranbourne until 14th May

The problem at Cranbourne is taking longer to fix than expected. We are now advised that the pool will not be available until Wednesday 14th May.
The current term of lessons will be extended by one week (at the end of July).

Please excuse us if we are less responsive to questions about the lessons programme over the next week or so.
Sue Lambert is recovering in hospital from a hip-replacement operation, and will not be in a position to respond to e-mails or voice mails until the end of the week at the earliest.
We are now in the spring break. All swimmers on lessons have received details of where and when they will be swimming when they resume. Registers have been posted to all teachers and water helpers.

Bluefins Spring Championships 2008

The 2008 Bluefins Spring Championships will take place on Sunday 25th May at the Aquadrome. This competition is open to all members of Bluefins with the exception of swimmers in level 1 and 2 teaching groups.

For those in teaching groups or FUN 1, there is an opportunity to get a taste of competition in an Internal Gala on Saturday 12th May 2008.

Bluefins Sponsored Swim for children in our Lessons Programme took place on Saturday February 9th at Cranbourne School. Congratulations and thanks to everyone who took part. Lots of you swam a lot further than your parents expected!
