Important: ***Cranbourne continues to have problems***
Posted on 03 Feb 2012 at 21:10 by Mike Lambert (0 user comment)
There are still problems with the pool. The earlist that it might open is now 18th February.
It is now clear that we will not be able to deliver our guaranteed number of lessons. We are making arrangements to adjust direct debits accordingly, but since this involves instructing the bank it will take a little time. We will let you know what is happening as soon as we know.
Unfortunately, this does mean that we are unable to run the half-term course. We are in the process of contacting those who have enrolled by e-mail. Any queries on the half term course, contact us by e-mail to holidaylessons@swimbluefins.org.
Please don't try to contact me (Sue) by phone as I will be away from 28th Jan to 12th Feb.
Important: *** Cranbourne Update***
Posted on 23 Jan 2012 at 15:06 by Sue Lambert (0 user comment)
The parts have been fitted but there is still a leak. Engineer will hopefully fix this tomoorw - Tuesday.
I have agreed to give them the ret of the week to clean and reheat the pool, so would hope for a start to lessons on Saturday 28th Jan.
We will confirm this by email and/or text message, hopefully on Friday if not before.
Once again, thank you for your patience and understanding.

Good news and bad news! The new parts have been fiitted, but there seems to be a leak. Consequently cleaning and heating of pool cannot go ahead until early next week when the engineer can find the leak and fix it.
My best guess is that it will be at least Wednesday 25th before lessons can restart.
As mentioned before, I will contact by email and/or text message when I can give you a start date.
Thank you for your patience, we really appreciate how frustrated you may be, but we are working with Cranbourne to keep you as updated as we can.
Direct Debits will go ahead on 1st Feb as usual, but we will monitor the number of lessons missed and I will update you on any refunds that might be due once we start back.
Any questions or comments, please email: lessons@swimbluefins.org
Important: Cranbourne Pool - latest update
Posted on 12 Jan 2012 at 11:34 by Sue Lambert (0 user comment)
Latest news is that Cranbourne is now unlikely to open next week. The parts have still not arrived, I have asked that the maintenance company be chased for a likely date and will communicate this as soon as possible.
A change to the system - parents will now be informed when lessons are ready to start back, not that they are not running - it's just not practical to spend hours every day texting to cancel!
We do apologise for the delay in restarting lessons, but please be assured that we are doing all we can. I would appreciate knowing if you have read this message: sue.lambert@swimbluefins.org
Monday and Wednesday Development parents should watch for further info from your coaches.

Latest news on Cranbourne Pool is - no news! I am waiting to hear whether the part has been received. Will update this site as and when there is something to tell you.
Meanwhile, please assume no lessons this week. I will contact lessons parents when there is a start date.
Many apologies for the delay in starting lessons - we are as frustrated as you are, but meanwhile, enjoy the extra time at home!

Payment for lessons missed at Cranbourne
Now that the problem at Cranbourne Pool is fixed, we are able to sort your Direct Debit payments for this year.
No payment will be taken on your Direct Debit in March; this will cover lessons missed in January and will apply to all children originally registered to swim at Cranbourne in January 09, including those who have now moved to QMC. Parents of children new to our programme in January will start to pay on their Direct Debits from April.
Assuming no more problems, we will now be able to offer at least 36 lessons during the year Sept 08 to July 09 (taking into account the reduction with one month less payment).
